1. The most well-known of Azerbaijan’s burning mountains is Yanar Dag. It burns all year round due to natural gas escaping from the ground.

2. Azerbaijan is the first country in the world to declare themselves Muslim democratic country with equal rights for women.

3. Azerbaijan was the first country in the world to start organized oil drilling and around 2nd world war, produced 70% of the world’s oil supply.

4. Azerbaijan is situated on the banks of Caspian Sea, which is the biggest lake in the world.

5. Garry Kasparov, a former world chess champion, was born in Azerbaijan's capital, Baku, and attended chess school there.

6. The national animal of Azerbaijan is the Karabakh Horse. They are famed for their speed and good temperament.

7. The public transport is presented by Baku (Azerbaijan) metro and numerous minibuses. At any time of the day, you can use the services of private taxis, which will take you to the needed point in Azerbaijan.

8. The first medical aid is usually free. There are also private paid medical clinics and services, doctors that can speak a foreign language. In the chemists’ there is a big choice of medicaments and most of them are open 24 hours with their ‘Aptek’ glow sign boards.

9. The Gobustan Nature Park has been declared a World Heritage Site by the United Nations. As well as half the mud volcanoes in the world, it is also home to well preserved ancient rock art and carvings, and the unique “musical stones” known as Gaval Dashgot that gives a peek into the lives of the pre-historic inhabitants of Azerbaijan.

10. People in Azerbaijan are genuinely surprised when you are trying to take pictures of something ugly, unfinished or poor. Seriously they can’t understand why don’t you shoot nice and shiny new government buildings!

BAKU CITY TOUR

After brakfast , we will proceed for a City Tour of Baku.

Proceed to Old City or Inner City, which is the historical core of Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. The Old City is the most ancient part of Baku, which is surrounded by walls were well protected. In 2007, the Old City had a population of about 3000 people. In December 2000, the Old City of Baku, including the Palace of the Shirvanshahs and Maiden Tower, became the first location in Azerbaijan to be classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. 

After Old City guests will experience the happening street of Nizami Street known for shopping. The street's history could be traced back to Baku's town-planning project of 1864. The street runs through the city's downtown from west to east. It begins from Abdulla Shaig Street, in mountainous part of the city and ends at railroad bed on Sabit Orujov Street, near a monument to Shah Ismail Khatai in “Black City”. Total length of the street is 3,538 m.

Fountains Square is a public square in downtown Baku, capital of Azerbaijan. The square was previously called Parapet and is often referenced to by the same name now. The name of the fountains square derives from the presence of dozens of fountains throughout the square first constructed during Soviet rule of Azerbaijan.The square is a public gathering place, especially after business hours and during the weekend. 

Visit to the charming example of modern achticture -  The Heydar Aliyev Center – a 57,500 m2 building complex in Baku, Azerbaijan designed by Iraqi-British  architect Zaha Hadid and noted for its distinctive architecture and flowing, curved style that eschews sharp angles. The center is named after Heydar Aliyev, the first secretary of Soviet Azerbaijan from 1969 to 1982, and president of Azerbaijan Republic from October 1993 to October 2003. (Photoshoot outside) .

GABALA TOUR

Today , after breakfast , proceed for a Full Day Excursion in: Tufandaq”Winter-Summer Tourism Complex offers cable car rides at any time of the year, skiing on the ski tracks of different difficulty level, ski training and ski school, catering service (cafe and restaurants), entertainment centres for kids, hotel and other services.

Nohur Lake -It is located in Qabala, another region of Azerbaijan that one passes when travelling to Sheki. Lake is not on the way but if you go a bit deeper towards the mountains this beautiful view opens up in front of you

Yeddi Gozel (Seven beauties) waterfalls in Gabala, one of the most popular tourist destinations in Gabala, are located 6 kilometers from Vandam village and 3 km from the main track over Puskan. Here, water from various ravines forms a seven-step waterfall. Only two small waterfalls are visible below. To look at the other five waterfalls, you have to climb up the stairs, which requires some physical strength. However, those who are going through this difficult path await a mysterious panorama. There is also a restaurant and a tea house.

The waterfall is always dark and cool because it is located in a dense forest that is not affected by the sun’s rays.

FULL DAY ABSHERON FIRE TOUR

Ateshgah , often called the “Fire Temple of Baku” is a castle-like religious temple in Surakhani town, a suburb in Baku, Azerbaijan. Based on Persian and Indian inscriptions, the temple was used as a Hindu, Sikh, and Zoroastrian place of worship. 
the pentagonal complex, which has a courtyard surrounded by cells for monks and a tetra pillar-altar in the middle, was built during the 17th and 18th centuries. It was abandoned in the late 19th century, probably due to the dwindling of the Indian population in the area.

Trip to "Fire Mountain "-"Yanardag" -a mountain on Absheron peninsula , 25 km from north of Baku. Literally, word "Yanardag" means "Blazing mountain". Blazing bodies of flame dance on stones and floor.  Yanar dag is a natural gas fire which blazes continuously on a hillside on the Absheron Peninsula on the Caspian Sea near Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, which itself is known as the "land of fire."

  • The customers can prepone /postpone their tour once without any additional charges (if intimated before 15 days of travel date in written). However postponing & preponing second time will attract additional charges.
  • Also note that few service providers (Hoteliers, Transporter etc.) may apply postpone/prepone charges even after meeting above requirement. In such cases postpone/prepone charges will deducted from the advance amount deposited. (Incase, if there is any)
  • In all prepone or postpone scenarios, the services and the costing will be subject to availability of Hotel/Volvo and season/off season time.
  • We do not accept any changes in plan within 15 days of travel date. However in rare cases like adverse climatic conditions or strikes, package can be postponed which will be intimated to you beforehand.

  • 50% advance to be paid at the time of booking (We will start booking process after the receipt of the initial payment, until then we are not holding anything & cannot guarantee the availability of the proposed services)
  • Airfare quoted at the time of package creation is subject to change at the time of booking depending on fare fluctuations.
  • We need minimum 72 working hours to reply back on your booking confirmation, if we fail to give you the proposed services then we will provide you similar options or we will refund your received amount.
  • Passport copies of all Guests (front page, address page or any observation page if any) needs to be provided at the time of booking along with the initial payment, if you do not provide the same the booking process will be delayed.
  • Any verbal conversations regarding the Trip/Package will be considered null & void. Only written communications over mail or whatsapp will be accepted.
